Today the community began its annual novena to prepare for the feast of St Joseph who is our secondary patron after Our Lady of Cana. We entrust to him in particular all the material needs of the community, but are also mindful of the fact that he is the special patron of Holy Church which is in dire need of prayers and penances especially during this time of Lent. St Joseph is also the patron of a a holy death and so we entrust to him all those who will soon be called from this world to eternity. St Teresa of Avila says that whatever she asked him on his feast day he would always give. Let’s pray with her and trust that he will hear us too.
